Reading is a reading support class focused on deconstructing increasingly complex texts while developing decoding and comprehension skills intended to help students across all classes and into the future.
Students are expected to check Google Classroom daily for assignments and updates, especially when absent from class. The calendar below is linked to my Reading Google Classroom Calendar. Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions you have about the course.
Additionally, parents should email me to receive weekly updates from my Google Classroom feed. Please refer to the Reading syllabus (see below) for additional information. For information regarding the district opt in/out policy for controversial material, please visit the Parent's Rights page. Class readings will primarily include Achieve3000 articles, news articles, Greek myths, readings from other classes, and excerpts from various pieces of fiction to practice reading, decoding, and strengthening comprehension skills.
