What if my child misses school for several days?

First Grade is a very important school year. Please try to schedule vacations and appointments on non-student days or school breaks.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please call the office directly with this information. The attendance line is 303-347-4600. When a child is absent, any make up work will be sent home when he or she returns to class. For longer vacations or absences, a student may be expected to make up some of the work upon his or her return to school. As a general policy, classroom assignments are not given prior to vacations. Pacing of assignments in each classroom is constantly adjusted in order to meet the overall needs of students as a class; and providing assignments prior to vacations taken while school is in session complicates things for others.
