Can I send a snack with my child in 1st grade?

Busy youngsters work and play very hard and benefit from a quick “refueling” during the day. Please send a small snack for your child to eat during our school day . Please send food that is healthy and can be eaten quickly. Raisins, crackers, apple slices and pretzels make great choices! Sending items in packaging that your child can open independently is very helpful. Keeping your child’s snack separate from their lunch is also very helpful. Since we often have children with food allergies, we will encourage the children to not share food with their classmates.
