About Me: My name is Kim O'Geary and I am a certified speech-language pathologist for Littleton High School. I received my Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Woman's University. My specialties include Executive Functioning intervention, AAC and teaching functional communication skills related to increased independence with life skills and employability.
IEP Speech Services: I work with all students who have Speech/Language Services on their IEP's. I see students in a variety of ways: push-in (in their classroom), co-teaching (such as in reading class), pull-out (small groups) or 1:1. At the secondary level my main focus is teaching functional communication skills that relate to student's post-secondary goals and increased independence.

When I teach descriptive language I primarily use the Expanding Expression Tool (EET). The Expanding Expression Tool helps students organize their thoughts and communicate more effectively. Using a simple, color-coded system, they learn how to describe, explain, and expand on ideas in speaking and writing. EET supports stronger vocabulary, clearer explanations, and improved academic language skills across subjects.
