Out to Lunch:
Out to Lunch is an co-led group with the OT and school psychologist designed to help students practice community skills such as RTD, budgeting, ordering at restaurants, and social skills. We go to a new restaurant each week and students take turns leading the group using the bus system.
Living Independently:
Living Independently is a class lead by the OT where students work on their IEP OT goals in a classroom setting. We target executive functioning and independent living skills through weekly activities such as recipe planning, grocery shopping, pedestrian safety, money skills, cooking, and cleaning.
This semester we are making lots of fun recipes including simple meals, snacks, and holiday themed treats. If you'd like to have access to the Google Classroom so you can see weekly recipes, just reach out to let me know!
Also, if you have any recipe ideas for class, feel free to add them using the Google Form here.
