We are pleased to welcome

Facility Dog Constance to our team!

Constance is a facility dog from Canine Companions for IndependenceⓇ who will be working with Community Wellness Coordinator, Karolina Stachura. Facility dogs are expertly trained dogs that partner with a facilitator working in a professional setting. Canine Companions facility dogs are trustworthy in professional environments and can perform around 40 commands designed to motivate and inspire clients.

Constance is a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever. Constance was expertly trained by Canine Companions specifically for this type of work, so she is not only friendly and fun, she is also very sweet and gentle. Constance was provided by Canine Companions free of charge.

Below are some guidelines that are required for our building and for Constance.

If your child is allergic to dogs, please email Karolina Stachura as well as the front office to notify them of your child’s allergies.

Starting on Wednesday, August 12th there will be a facility dog at Littleton Preparatory Charter School. There are many benefits to having a facility dog in an academic setting and we are excited to welcome Constance to the Littleton Prep team. Constance will be spending most of her time in the front office alongside the Community Wellness Coordinator, Karolina Stachura. We hope you and your children will help us welcome Constance, recognizing the benefits she will provide.

Please let us know if your student has allergies so that accommodations can be made. If there are severe cases, it may be advisable to write a health care plan for your child that will contain specific measures that will need to be implemented so that any kind of allergic reaction can be minimized and dealt with effectively.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
