Heritage Academy

How to offer a Heritage Academy course:

  1. Consider a topic- How does it connect to the Heritage UIP? How will it help other teachers? How will it help students grow?

  2. Once topic is selected, draft a lesson agenda and send it to the Instructional Coach (IC).

  3. IC will provide feedback.

  4. Once approved, select a date or multiple dates after school. It may be helpful to conduct a quick survey among staff for availability and interest.

  5. Choose a room for the class. Click here for the Room Usage Form. Give it to Lynn James once it's completed.

  6. Invite staff once date and location are set. This is usually done through email, but the choice is yours. It does need to be open to all certified staff.

  7. Instruct the class- This is the fun part!
