The Euclid Band Program recognizes outstanding students in three categories in each grade. Descriptions are below, and recipients are organized by grade.
Director’s Award for Band
This award is presented to two or three eighth grade students who are chosen by Mr. Holcombe because of their outstanding qualities in band class. These students are leaders in class, are prepared both mentally and in playing ability, and create an inclusive and positive sense of community in class. The recipients are also willing to go above and beyond the ordinary responsibilities of being a band/orchestra member.

Soaring Falcon Medal of Excellence
Started in 2023, this award is presented students who complete required activities as well as earn a minimum of 100 points across several categories of participation in band. Students who earn enough points are recognized at our spring (final) concert of the year. Here is list of the winners since the beginning of this award. The application/point sheet is here.
Outstanding Band Member
This award is presented to two or three students per class who are recognized by their peers and Mr. Holcombe as leaders in and outside the band classroom. They work hard, are prepared, and bring a sense of community and acceptance to our group.

Most Improved Band Member
This award is presented to two or three students per class who are recognized by their peers as having made huge improvements in their performance abilities over the course of one year. These students are also directly chosen by their peers.
