Andrew Holcombe is in his fourteenth year of teaching, and sixth at Euclid Middle School in Littleton Public Schools where he teaches band, jazz band, and guitar. During his time at Euclid the Concert and Jazz bands have consistently earned Excellent and Superior ratings at festivals. The program earned the prestigious CBA Exemplary Band Award in 2022, 2023, and 2025, and the Jazz Band was selected to perform at the CMEA Clinic/Conference in 2023.
Mr. Holcombe is an active participant in the music education community. He is a member of the Colorado Bandmasters Association (CBA) where he currently serves on the board as the Middle School Representative and as a member of the Concert Band Committee, the Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA) where he served as a District Representative, the American School Band Directors Association (ASBDA), and Phi Beta Mu (PBM). Mr. Holcombe has presented multiple times at both the CBA and CMEA annual conventions. In 2019 Andrew received the "Outstanding Young Bandmaster" award from PBM.
As a clinician, Andrew has adjudicated the Poudre School District Jazz Festival in Fort Collins and served as the clinician for the 2023 Western Slope Middle School Select Band and the 2025 Western Slope Middle School Select Jazz Band. He also was the Band Director for the 2025 Middle School Summer Music Academy at CU Boulder, and will serve as the clinician for the 2025 Collegiate Peaks Honor Jazz Band.
Prior to Euclid, Mr. Holcombe taught at Creighton Middle and the Lakewood Area Elementary Schools (grades 5-8) in Jefferson County, and started his teaching career at University Schools in Greeley, CO. He received both his bachelor’s (2012 - BME) and master’s (2016 - MM) degrees from the University of Northern Colorado (GO BEARS!).
Outside of the classroom, Andrew loves spending time with his wife, Kyla, and their three kids, Lilja (6), Elsie (4), and Taika (1) along with their two cats, Alfonso and Ellie. He enjoys connecting with family and friends, spending time outside cycling, hiking, or running, playing music, seeing live performances and playing games.
