I am excited to be an officer this year. The Thespian officers during my freshman year helped me find a home in high school. I looked up to them greatly and knew I wanted to be able to be that person for others. Throughout my freshman year theater was a safe space and a home for me, and continues to be now. I want to be a bigger part of that and try and help make it a safe space for others who may need it. I want to be a voice for people in the troupe. I watched past officers and learned from them how to lead as an officer does, and I want to keep that going. I continue to take every opportunity I have in theater. I was inducted into the Thespian Society my freshman year and was awarded the Jade accolade last year. I love theater and am excited to be a big part of our Thespian leadership.

Ashton Ellis

I am excited to be an officer for the Arapahoe Thespian community because I really appreciate the dedication that every single person commits to each production. Everyone who has dedicated themselves to this community in the process of getting better deserves the utmost respect.

I have experience in both tech and acting so I understand all the struggles trying to perform a production. I want to build an ecosystem of inclusivity where everyone's voice is heard. There are many unique individuals in this gigantic theatric family so I want to make it my priority that everyone has a say in what's happening.

My first taste of theater was early, Freshman year, and ever since I have been obsessed with everything remotely involved in this craft. As a Freshman I looked up to the officers and now I will do my absolute darndest to set a good example for the incredibly talented successors of the program.

I care greatly about theatre as an art form and am very dedicated to the theatre. I am excited to be a Thespian officer this year. As a professional actor, I have a diverse theatre background which can create a different perspective in our leadership discussions. I'd also love to be a leader so that I can share my love of theatre with younger students. It's something that has changed my life, and so I'd love to give others the opportunity to discover this art in the same way I have.

I am so excited to be a Thespian officer! Theatre has provided a safe place for me for these past 3 years and I am always happy anytime I walk into the green room, whether it is for lunch, rehearsal, or class! It is such an amazing community that I am blessed to be a part of. With next year being my senior year, I want to make sure that I can provide the same positive community that seniors in the past have given me. I want to not only be a friend but I want to be able to lead and be a part of what makes this theater so great. I want to help bring our Thespians closer together and help to allow new ideas to be voiced. I am so excited to hopefully take on new responsibilities and make sure everyone has a voice so this theater can remain a happy place for every single Thespian!

I am excited to be a Thespian officer this year. Theatre is a place that has helped me connect with a lot of people since I joined my freshman year, both in and out of school. It’s a place that truly brings people together, even though we all have different experiences with it. I want to help inspire others through our performances and bring more people into the program. Last year, I also had the chance to create posters for both of our main productions, and would really like to represent the work of the troupe with our show shirts and maybe future posters. I am excited to work more closely with my classmates and to get to know everyone better.

I am excited to be an officer this year. Theatre is something I’ve done since freshman year and something I hold really near and dear to my heart. It’s where I met all of my amazing friends that I’ve had for so long now and it’s what ended up getting me through each school day. Without theatre, I would most likely be an absolute mess so by becoming an officer I want to make sure that is able to happen for anyone else who steps into the theater. Whether they join at the beginning of their freshman year or during their senior year, I want the theater to be the safe haven it has been for me all these years. Adding onto that, since I have made friends with people in every single grade, as an officer, I want to make sure that absolutely everyone’s voice is accounted for. Especially for things like big group activities and decisions that affect the entirety of the theatre, I want to make sure that even though someone may have just joined a few months ago, they still feel heard. I am excited about this great opportunity for me to learn some new skills and help me get even more involved in the theatre.
