I'm excited to be a thespian officer. I've been in this theatre my entire high school career and plan to stay until I graduate. When I entered this theatre, I was welcomed by the upperclassmen, and I want to be able to give that experience, and even better to any underclassmen who enter our theatre next year. I want to be someone that other people feel they can come to if they have a problem, and I want to help plan thespian events. The events the officers organized in my younger years really helped me to get closer to some people who are now my closest friends, and I want to help give that experience to others.
I have wanted to be an officer since I started theater at Arapahoe, which was the very beginning of my freshman year. I am excited to be a Thespian Officer because theater, to me, is all about the connections we make. I want to create a space where everyone feels supported, whether they’re on stage or behind the scenes. My goal is to organize more events that bring us together: workshops, performances, or even just casual hangouts. I want to foster this already positive environment so that we can grow as artists and as friends. I believe the best shows come from the relationships we build, and I’d love to help nurture that sense of community in our program.
I am so grateful for this opportunity to be a Thespian Officer! I really love the community that has been built in our theater program and want to continue to help grow and support our company. I’ve always felt welcomed by my past officers, and I would like to continue the work that they have done. As a leader in tech, I would love to help make sure that there is more tech representation and that we keep improving with everything we do. I would love to make sure there are more opportunities for our troupe to bond outside of rehearsals, and I want to harbor a more accepting environment. In my experience as an officer this past year I feel like I have learned a lot about duties, and I am committed to showing up and working on whatever needs to be done. As I will be a senior, I feel as if I can help welcome younger students into the program, and I have the knowledge to properly help and support those in the troupe. I can’t wait to continue to accomplish more each year.
I'm excited to be a thespian officer because it means doing even more for theater than I already do! I want to plan more events and help our program by making everyone feel welcome. I have been in theater for my entire time at Arapahoe, participating in every after-school production and taking one of Mr. Brooks’ classes each semester to prepare myself for what it really entails to be an officer. I will put in all my effort into supporting this wonderful program and community that continues to impress me in every way possible. I am so excited to see what the new school year brings!
I want to be a Thespian officer to help uplift and bring comfort in our theater. When I first started acting in elementary school, I fell in love with every aspect. That love and passion has only deepened over the years. When I was a freshman, I looked up to every single senior and officer in our program, and still do. They’ve not only helped make our theater a home, but supported me and boosted my confidence onstage and off. Their presence has made such a difference in my life, and I want to pay that forward. I want to help every person feel welcomed, supported, and seen—being a pillar of encouragement and contributing to the growth of our amazing space, as well as the confidence and talent of everyone within it. I also want to help strengthen our theater so that it continues to be a safe space where everyone can express themselves freely. Theater is such a light in my life, and I want to be able to take the next step up in order to help and inspire all others.
I am excited to be a thespian officer next year because the Arapahoe Theater has improved my outlook on both performing and high school as a whole. This department has allowed me to find my passion for acting and technical theater. I have begun to find genuine gratification in taking part in and sharing in productions. It has helped me to understand the effort and struggles involved in creating theater and why we must continue to do it regardless. I want to be able to participate in the planning and organizing of both bonding and production-based thespian events because, in my experience, they have helped our troupe to build a stronger sense of community. I am excited to continue working with the theater’s talented company, as well as meeting new thespians.
