Caitlin Barrett

Hey there, stellar second graders! I am THRILLED to have you in class this year!

I am a Littleton native and have many memories here over the years both as a student in LPS and now a teacher! I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Luther College in Northeastern Iowa and received my Masters Degree in Technology, Innovation and Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado in 2020. This is my 9th year teaching and 3rd year at Ford! In the past 9 years I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade all in LPS. I am Orton-Gillingham trained and love to dive into all things reading and math.

Outside of school you can find me spending time in the mountains hiking, running, skiing, enjoying a cup of chai with friends, traveling and ! I also am a passionate reader and try to read 100 books a year. My favorite Second Grade Read-aloud is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series by Laura Numeroff. This Summer my husband, Ryan, and I traveled all over the East Coast to visit various historical sites-we love history!

I am honored to be a part of the Ford community and cannot wait for the year ahead!

My husband, Ryan, and I love to ski and travel!
