I am one of two awesome certified school counselors serving our students at Lowndes Middle School!! I have worked as a school counselor for 13 years. However, I have been working with middle and high school students since 2004 in a variety of academic environments. I hold a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology and Masters of Education Degrees in Higher Educational Leadership and School Counseling, as well as a Specialist of Education in School Counseling.

I serve as a member of the Valdosta State University School Counseling Program Advisory Committee, Georgia School Counselors Association(GSCA), the American School Counselors Association(ASCA), Georgia Association of Educators(GAE) and the National Educators Association(NEA), and the Valdosta Chapter of the American Association of University of Women(AAUW). I also serve as an adjunct professor in the School Counseling Department at Valdosta State University.

Welcome to the Lowndes Middle School family! I am one of the two amazing school counselors at LMS. This is my first year as a middle school counselor, but I have served as an elementary counselor for 4 years.
Welcome to the Lowndes Middle School family! I am one of the two amazing school counselors at LMS. This is my first year as a middle school counselor, but I have served as an elementary counselor for 4 years.
In terms of education, I hold a B.S. degree in Organizational Leadership with a double minor in Psychology and Public Administration. In addition, I earned an M.Ed. degree in Counselor Education and an Ed.S. in School Counseling, all from Valdosta State University.
My counselor training is grounded in the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. I incorporate strategies and principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to support the academic, developmental, and emotional success of my students.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, exercising, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m also excited to share that I am a self-published author of a children’s book titled Better Together!
I am proud to be a part of the Lowndes Middle School family, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with all of my students.
