Also know as Adult Day Array, Adult Day Programs are programs that provides daily activities to enrich the lives of adults with disabilities and help them to become active participants in their community. Each program varies in services provide, community involvement, time, location and interests.
1. What happens if my child does NOT have a waiver to pay for a day program?
Most adult day programs will accept private pay for individuals who are still on waiver waiting lists. However, it is important for families to understand the cost of day programs. The cost varies depending on level of need and staff assistance. Level A = least assistance; Level B = moderate assistance; Level C = full assistance
​2. Who is eligible to attend a day program?
Community based employment must first be considered before applying to an adult day program or if an individual is working part time a day program can be accessed on the days that an individual is not working.
Anyone with a disability can apply to participate in an adult day program. Participation is optional and acceptance to each program is dependent upon availability and program requirements/pre-requisites. With the state wide Employment First Initiative, each program must include some form of employment and/or community outreach component.
Often times, individuals with disabilities who are seeking part-time community employment will also attend a day program for 1-3 days per week in order to keep them busy and engaged in their community when they are not working.
3. Who can help me find the right adult day program for my child?
The IEP team, which includes:

Service and Support Administrator (SSA through Hamilton, Warren or Clermont County Board of Disabilities)
Transition Coordinator
