Welcome to the School Counseling Office

Hello and welcome! I’m Stacy Conner, your dedicated school counselor. My role is to support and guide you through your academic, personal, and social journey here at Lopatcong Middle School. 

I have had the pleasure of working as the middle school counselor for the last 19 years. There are many, many things that I help students, families, and staff with on a daily basis; here are some of the important ones:

What I Do:

1.  Personal Counseling: Life can be challenging, and sometimes you need someone to talk to. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can discuss your feelings, manage stress, and work through personal issues. My goal is to help you build resilience and develop strategies to cope with life's ups and downs.

2. Academic Support: I help students navigate their academic paths by providing advice on course selection, study skills, and time management.       Whether you're struggling with a particular subject or planning for college, I'm here to help you achieve your academic goals.

3. Social Development: Building strong relationships and effective communication skills are crucial for personal growth. I facilitate programs and      workshops that enhance social skills, conflict resolution, and peer interactions, helping you to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

4. Crisis Intervention: In times of crisis, I am here to offer immediate support and connect you with additional resources if needed. Your safety and well-being are my top priorities, and I am committed to providing the help you need during difficult times.

Calling or emailing me is the best way to contact me if you would like to set up an appointment. You can also use the link below to access a                google form to schedule an appointment. 

For students, they have access to the google form through my Google Classroom and know they can always ask a teacher or stop me in the                hallways/lunch if they need to see me.
