Communication*

Every effort will be made to minimize classroom interruptions that interfere with your child’s learning. Parents are requested to leave messages for teachers using voice mail or e-mail. The office will not interrupt classrooms to forward telephone calls from parents. You may contact any staff member via e-mail by typing the individual’s first initial, last name, then the suffix “@loomisk8.org” (example: tteacher@loomisk8.org).

Urgent calls home will be made from the office.

Additional forms of communication include:

Aeries Parent Portal - The Aeries Parent Portal is available for parents to access their student information. Student progress and achievement in grades 4-8 can also be accessed through the Parent Portal. Parent access information is available on the school and LUSD website.

Newsletters – School newsletters and updates are emailed and posted on our school website.

Message System- Periodically we utilize our School Messenger calling and email system to contact families with important information updates. This system is also used if there is an emergency school closure. It is important that you keep student emergency card information current.

Teacher Web pages- Students and parents are able to access their teacher’s web pages by going to the links listed on our website. These web pages may provide homework, projects and other pertinent information to assist students/parents. A few teacher websites are under construction and will be available as soon as possible.
