Spirit Wear
The Pride team organized a Spirit Wear competition that was held every Friday. The classes participated in a friendly competition to show their HCP Pride! Winning weekly classes received a spirti trophy and certificate! The PACK worked hard to collect spirit counts, announce winners and promote school spirit!
CAASPP Cards
To support our 3rd-8th Grade students during state testing, the Pride Committee led the CAASPP Card Project where students in all grade levels (and parents!) could write notes of encouragement. Cards were delivered to classrooms on the first day of testing!
Read-A-Thon
Academics doing a great job helping to spread the word about the HCP annual Read-A-Thon where they selected the themes of the Spirit Dress Days, made posters to get the word out, and helped to create the fundraising banner that will be displayed on exterior gym wall!
Book Buddies
The Academics team checked out books from the library and went into the 1st & 2nd Grade Classrooms and read to small groups of students. Students and teachers absolutely loved this literacy activity.
Grandparent's Day Cards
Our Community/Kindness Team created cards to give to our second graders to celebrate their Grandparent's Day. It was a kind and sweet nod to our younger students who were both excited and nervous for their special day!
Pride & Polish
The PACK spent their lunch recess showing their pride by polishing up their campus (picking up trash)!
8th Grade Clap-Out
We held our first-ever HCP Clap-Out where the entire school lined the walkways to celebrate our promoting 8th graders as they walked to their final breakfast on the last day of school. The PACK created HCP Leis for each 8th grader and helped classes find their places on the parade route! It was an aazing display of community and celebration that is going to become an annual PACK Project!
