Thank you to the Longmeadow Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) for their extremely generous grant, allowing Mrs. Gabrielli to purchase Tower Gardens for the libraries at both middle schools.
Students at both Glenbrook and Williams Middle Schools enrolled in Mrs. Gabrielli’s Information Literacy course are getting hands-on experience with hydroponic gardening! Students helped unbox and assemble Tower Gardens at each school before learning how hydroponic systems work and how to start growing plants from seeds.
This exciting project combines research, science, sustainability, and teamwork as students explore a new way to grow food. We look forward to watching our gardens grow and harvesting fresh greens right here in our schools!
