COVID symptoms:
Fever (100.0° Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
New loss of taste or smell
Muscle aches or body aches
Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough)
Sore throat, when in combination with other symptoms
Nausea, vomiting, when in combination with other symptoms
Headache, when in combination with other symptoms
Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms
Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other known causes, such as allergies), when in combination with other symptoms
CURRENT COVID POLICY :
If your student tests positive for COVID, please reach out to your building nurse and let them k now just as you would for any other illness. At this time, the following is the current COVID guidance for the students of Longmeadow Public Schools.
Your student should stay home and away from others until at least 24 hours after BOTH
Symptoms are getting better overall
Has not had a fever for 24 hours without the use of Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen
Over the next 5 days, it is recommended to use prevention measures, such as mask wearing

Schools will no longer be doing in-school testing.
Schools will no longer be distributing COVID home tests.
