What Does a School Counselor Do?
Individual and Group Counseling: We offer one-on-one and small group sessions to help students navigate challenges such as making friends, managing emotions, and handling changes at home or school.
Classroom Lessons: We visit classrooms regularly to teach lessons on topics like kindness, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and career awareness.
Support for Parents: We are here to support you as well! Whether you have concerns about your child’s behavior, academic progress, or overall well-being, we are available to consult with you and provide resources and strategies.
Crisis Intervention: In times of crisis, our team provides immediate support to students and coordinate with parents and external resources to ensure the best care for your child.
Collaboration and Advocacy: We collaborate with teachers, staff, and external agencies to advocate for your child’s needs, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to succeed.
School counseling helps children develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life. Through counseling services, students learn how to manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. These skills are essential not only for academic success but also for personal and social growth.
We encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about your child. You can contact us via email, phone, or by scheduling an appointment through the school office. We are here to support your child’s journey every step of the way!
