Paw Prints are given to students for following the 3 school-wide expectations; be respectful, be responsible and be safe. These can be given by the classroom teacher or any other adult in the school. Every teacher has their own Paw Print jar where each student in the class will keep their paw prints. At the end of each week, teachers will pull out one paw print from their jar. The student that has their paw print drawn out will bring it to the office to put it on our hundreds chart. Once we receive a bingo on the chart (ten in a row), those students will be participating in a special event such as a silly string war, lunch with the principal, chalk on the sidewalk etc. This will also be the point where everyone dumps their jar to start again.
Once we hit 100 paw prints we will do some type of whole school celebration.
Every classroom has their own classroom behavior management system. You can get more information about their plan from the classroom teacher. It is our hope that our students here at Wilson exhibit great character on a daily basis and strive to become the best that they can. At Wilson it is expected that the discipline of students is done in a respectful manner while giving every child due process and maintaining a system that is fair and equitable.
