Junior and Seniors who are enrolled in the Education and Training Pathway travel to Pre-K, Elementary, and Junior High Campuses across Caldwell County to explore the teaching profession with Master teachers within LISD.
Students will travel to Carver Early Learning Center and become educational aide classroom assistants.
Students will travel to four elementary schools across LISD and become educational aide classroom assistants.
Navarro, Bluebonnet, Plum Creek, Clear Fork Elementary, and Lockhart Junior High schools.
Upon graduation, each student will be a certified Educational Aide I for any classroom across Texas.
The program will consist of ensuring student safety at all times, communicating effectively with students and co-workers, and working effectively in a team setting.
Interns will work alongside other group leaders and on-site manager to lead students during activities and games, prepare lessons and activities, and actively participate in theme meeting with co-workers.
The Community Education Department is implementing an Intern Program and employment opportunities for select students who are interested in exploring a teaching career path with the After School Program and Summer Adventure Camps.
Education and Training interns hosted tours to explore, learn, and discover the world of livestock, agriculture, communication skills, and business.
