Locke on the Block can’t happen without our volunteers!

This is a community event, not a fundraiser (the energy, creativity, and helping hands of parents, caregivers, and friends make all the difference).

Why Volunteer?

• Be part of creating a joyful day for our kids and neighbors.

• Meet other Locke families and build community connections.

• Enjoy the fun of the fair while helping it run smoothly.

Volunteer Roles

We’ll need help with:

• Activity Stations - Assist kids with crafts, games, or bounce houses.

• Set-up & Clean-up - Bring the fair to life (and help us pack it away).

• Greeting & Guiding - Greet families, answer questions, and sell wristbands.

• Snacks & Hospitality - International Cafe and Sweets & Treats Station.

• Floater Volunteers - Step in where help is needed most.

Time Commitment & Incentives

Volunteer shifts are typically 2 hours long, so you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the fair with your family.
In addition to making this event magical for our school and Harlem community, volunteers will also receive--

• An Exclusive Locke on the Block t-shirt.

• A rainbow wristband for each shift you fill. The rainbow wristband gives your kid VIP access to the bounce houses! Have more than one kid? No problem-- sign up for more than one slot!

• An invitation to the post-festival Volunteer Celebration
