(Have NEVER taken CPCC courses before)
Steps to complete only ONCE the very first time you’re interested in becoming ELIGIBLE for Dual Enrollment at CPCC:
Fill out the CCP Permission Form
Students and Parents MUST complete the College and Career Permission and Commitment form. (LNC Form)
You must have attended the mandatory meeting at LNC.
Visit the Central Piedmont Dual Enrollment website (Application link below)
Click the MyConnect Dual Enrollment link
Choose New Student if you have never taken a course at CPCC
Use your legal name exactly as it appears on your transcript
Use a personal email address (not a school or parent email)
Write down your username and password
Verify your email address when prompted
Confirm you are currently in high school
Select Dual Enrollment as your program
Choose one or two pathways (Transfer, Career & Technical, or Workforce Continuing Education)
Indicate whether this is your first time in college
Complete demographics and contact information
Add your current high school
Enter your expected high school graduation date (this cannot be changed later)
You must upload:
A current high school transcript showing:
Submit a High School Official Request in MyConnect
Select CCP Dual Enrollment as the request type
Choose:
The semester you plan to start
Your current high school
The correct school contact (this person receives your approval request)

Acknowledge FERPA and Leon’s Law
Submit your application
Watch your email for updates
Your high school will approve or deny your request in MyConnect
Central Piedmont reviews your application
If approved, you will receive:
Your Central Piedmont ID number
Next steps by email (usually within 5 business days)
Activate Your Student Account
Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with your Central Piedmont ID at the email address used to create your MyConnect account. Your username is the first part of your email. For example, if your email is newstudent01@email.cpcc.edu, your username is newstudent01.
You will use the CPCC ID number assigned to you to activate your account. You will be assigned a username and must create a password to complete your login.
If you have trouble activating your account, contact the ITS Service Desk or a student success navigator.
Access your CPCC email
You can access your CPCC email through the Outlook web app at https://outlook.office365.com/.
Your username is the first part of your email.
Sign Up for Multi-Factor Authorization
All students are required to sign up for multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Complete Checkpoint Course in Brightspace
You will access orientation through Brightspace using the Central Piedmont student login you created in step 1
To get credit for completing this requirement:
Click "Enroll in Course."
Select "Unit 1: Getting Started" and then review all units in the course.
Pass the Dual Enrollment final quiz in Unit 9.
Please allow two business days for scores to be entered in our database. You will not be able to register for classes your first semester until your passing quiz results are entered into our database.
Register for courses
Register once you receive your email stating you have been processed.
If you haven’t already, plan your courses for the upcoming semester in MyCollege.
Register for classes in MyCollege, referencing this instructional video as needed.
Remember: Only register for courses from your approved pathway. If you register for a class that is outside of your approved pathway, you will be dropped from that class by the Dual Enrollment Team.
Pay your bill
College and Career Promise will follow the CPCC payment schedule.
