Welcome to String Orchestra class at Lower Moreland High School! Orchestra is a place where you will make music, express your musicianship creatively, grow as an individual and ensemble, member and work hard towards a common goal. Through all performances, rehearsals, and events, I hope that you will develop a lifelong love of music and grow your confidence with creating, leading, and performing all types of music on your own and with others!
At Lower Moreland High School, students in String Orchestra will meet every day during the full school day for 45 minutes. There will also be required after-school rehearsals about once a month. We will learn lots of fun and diverse orchestra repertoire, learn and apply music theory and creative music skills, arrange and compose our own pieces, and enjoy a variety of orchestra-related activities and events!

Chamber Strings
Chamber Strings is a smaller, auditioned after-school group where we will bring our string instrument and musicianship skills to a more advanced level. We will have fun making music together and have multiple performance opportunities. This auditioned group is specifically designed for students who would like to put extra time into becoming the best musician they can be and playing more challenging music. You are expected to practice several times a week at home until you are confident in playing our repertoire accurately! Chamber Strings typically rehearses from 2:30-4:00pm on Wednesdays.
