Many of the CTE courses offered at LSHS provide access to CTE Dual College Credit, Industry Recognized credentials and more.
CTE Graduation Pathways include 2 or more CTE courses (2.0 or more High School Credits) in a single program area, or approved pathway. The sequence of courses must align to a student’s High School and Beyond Plan to be considered for CTE Graduation Pathway.
2.0 high school credits in CTE courses; and
2.0 credits are in the same CTE Program Area; and
The course has access for students to earn dual credit; or
Leads to an Industry Recognized Credential (IRC); or
Is a Core Plus program.
OR
The district provides Local CTE Graduation Pathways which must include at least 2.0 high school CTE credits from differing CTE program areas with approval from the school board, school board designee, or local advisory committee. Submissions must receive final approval by OSPI
CTE Dual Credit creates an opportunity for qualified students to earn high school credits toward graduation while earning specific college credit. Many of the Career and Technical Education courses offered through the Lake Stevens School District are aligned with professional-technical courses offered through Everett Community College and Pacific Northwest College Credit.
