Dr. Kiran Lata Dangwal
Dr. Kiran Lata Dangwal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Lucknow and a former additional dean of the academic cell, University of Lucknow. Her area of expertise is in ICT enabled education, educational technology, with a focus on computer education and social science pedagogy in particular.
She has published articles focusing on developments in the field of educational technology in renowned magazines and journals on national and international levels. She has published more than eighty significant research papers in the field of education for the benefit of educationists in addition to authoring and editing twenty-four books.
She has been invited to give lectures at prestigious universities, colleges, and institutions in India, Europe, Canada, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar. As a result of her unwavering approach and innovations in the educational field over the course of her twenty-six-years career as a teacher, she has received numerous honours for her work from various institutions and groups, including the Shiksha Ratna and Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman.
She is well versed in computer education and technology and has created a variety of free e-content, MOOCs and OERs for teachers and students. She has developed MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) in UNESCO's international mentoring online program, OE4BW. She is the SWAYAM coordinator and the chairperson of the committee to facilitate faculty members in the preparation of online content/courses for SWAYAM/MOOCs at University of Lucknow.
She has produced and uploaded numerous E-content on various government platforms. She has been awarded for uploading highest e-content in UP government portal. She is a member/Resource person for developing Open Educational resources-Sub Committee in National Council for Teacher Education.
She is also the first female professor at the University of Lucknow who trains NCC cadets as an Associate NCC Officer. Because of her dedication in NCC, she has also received the DGNCC Commendation Card, the title of Best NCC Officer, the Excellence Award for Best Lecture Presentation, and the Camp Planning Award. She has the title of Honorary Major.
She has been able to organize and participate in many national and international seminars, webinars, workshops. She is the founder editor-in-chief of the TechoLearn journal an international journal of educational technology and an associate editor of many other journals and the member of the international advisory review board in Asian journal of management sciences and education Oyama, Japan.
