Orientation for SWAYAM Mentors to Strengthen Digital Learning - 08.04.2025
The University of Lucknow conducted a orientation session for SWAYAM Mentors today at the Auditorium of the Department of Chemistry. Prof. Anil Mishra welcomed everyone and event was coordinated by Dr. Shudheer. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Kiran Lata Dangwal, SWAYAM Coordinator, University of Lucknow, with the support of the honorable vice chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. The orientation brought together departmental SWAYAM Mentors from across the university to discuss key strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of online learning through the SWAYAM platform. Speaking at the event, Dr. Kiran Lata Dangwal emphasized the need for proactive mentorship and digital readiness to support students in navigating MOOCs. The orientation stressed the critical role of mentors in not only overseeing departmental SWAYAM activities but also motivating students, conducting outreach, and participating in continuous training programs to stay updated with evolving digital education practices.
SWAYAM Awareness Programme, Department of Commerce, University of Lucknow (29.09.2025)
The Department of Commerce, University of Lucknow, successfully organized a SWAYAM MOOCs Awareness Programme on September 29, 2025, at the S. B. Singh Auditorium. The event was graced by Prof. Ram Milan, Head of Department, Dr. Kiran Lata Dangwal, SWAYAM Coordinator, University of Lucknow (Guest of Program), and Dr. Rishi Kant, SWAYAM Mentor (Session Speaker). The programme was coordinated by Dr. Prashant Singh and Dr. Neera Pal. The session highlighted the importance of online learning through the SWAYAM platform. Dr. Dangwal shared insights on the vision and scope of MOOCs, while Dr. Rishi Kant explained the registration process, benefits of certification, and credit transfer with a live demonstration of the portal. Around 100 students actively participated, interacting with the speakers and gaining valuable knowledge about digital learning opportunities. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photograph. The key message emphasized was that “Knowledge is not limited to classrooms anymore with platforms like SWAYAM, learning has no boundaries.”
