Event co-organized by the LEA
Livingston’s Night of Listening is a special community event where Livingston students will interview local residents to collect and preserve memories about life in the 1970s and the celebrations that took place during America's 200th birthday in 1976.
This is a meaningful opportunity to share your story and help younger generations connect with the past as we look forward to the United States' 250th anniversary.
We are especially interested in hearing from community members who:
Have memories of the Bicentennial (America’s 200th birthday)
Are willing to be interviewed by students and share their stories
5th & 6th grader interviews must be accompanied by a parent
Your stories matter! By attending and sharing your experiences, you'll help students:
Gain firsthand insight into a pivotal era in U.S. history
Learn how our community celebrated national milestones
Preserve local history for future generations
Registration is required. Whether you're signing up to be interviewed to share your memories of the United States' Bicentennial celebration in 1976, or you're signing up to be an 250 Ambassador interviewer, please complete the Google Form provided below to indicate if you'll be joining Livingston Public Schools for this multi-generational event.
