Strategic Responsibilities

Contribute to the formulation of the strategic goals in the areas of recruitment and admission

Contribute to the development of the policies and procedures, adhering to the overall objectives of the University, ensuring alignment to applicable regulations and standards, and promoting leading practices and educational excellence

Operational Responsibilities

Leadership for developing and maintaining adopted educational programs

Support accreditation processes and contribute to the program of continuous quality improvement

Coordinate with the staff and faculty to plan, develop, implement, assess and improve courses, programs and services that support the university’s missions

Student Affairs and Admissions

Establish and support academic programs to increase the number of qualified applicants

Provide recommendations regarding faculty appointments to the committee

Oversee training of faculty and academic staff

Participate in newly enrolled students’ orientation

Research Activity

Work with the administration to promote and support research activities

Support and mentor faculty and staff who participate in research

Administrative & People Management

Manage faculty and staff by defining and evaluating job expectations

Plan, monitor, and appraise faculty and staff performance

Coach, counsel, and actively participate in the departmental employees’ mentoring and professional development

Assist in scheduling and assigning faculty teaching load and extracurricular activities

Program Coordination

Ensure adherence to the University’s information security policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly

Ensure coordination with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities

Perform academic and administrative tasks assigned by the University Council and stockholders

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provide guidance and mentoring as required to enhance the academic capabilities of the faculty and staff to ensure the achievement of established objectives and plans

Recommend appropriate training courses as pre-determined training needs, evaluate their effectiveness, and monitor their results

Follow up on employees’ administrative affairs such as vacations, leaves, and other administrative and related affairs
