Dr. Sami El Khatib is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and educational consultant with over two decades of experience in higher education management and research. Currently serving as the Dean, School of Literature and Sciences, Beirut International University and Assistant Dean at the School of Arts and Sciences, Lebanese International University (LIU), Dr. El Khatib has demonstrated exceptional leadership in academic administration, curriculum design, accreditation processes, and student mentorship.
Academic and Educational Management Expertise: Dr. El Khatib has extensive expertise in strategic planning, policy formulation, and operational management within higher education. He has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative academic programs, enhancing student enrollment, and overseeing faculty development. As a Program Coordinator for Biological and Biomedical Sciences, he has led curriculum reform, accreditation preparation, and quality assurance processes, ensuring academic excellence.

Educational Background: Dr. El Khatib earned his Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Oncology (2005), a Master’s Degree in Bioengineering and Biomaterials (2002), and a University Diploma in Animal Experimentation (2003) from Henri Poincare University, France. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences (2000) from Lebanese University.
Research and Innovation Focus: Dr. El Khatib is a leading researcher in Oncology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Drug Development, Pharmacy Education, and Food Technology. His pioneering work includes the development of non-invasive diagnostic techniques for bladder cancer and pharmacokinetic studies. His research has led to advancements in molecular biotechnology, gene editing, and food fortification strategies. Dr. El Khatib has supervised numerous Master’s and Ph.D. students, emphasizing translational research and industry collaboration.
Publications and Editorial Contributions: With over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, Dr. El Khatib’s work has been featured in top-tier journals, covering topics such as cancer diagnostics, immunotherapy, and functional foods. He serves as a reviewer for prestigious journals, including Elsevier and MDPI, and has contributed to leading scientific books published by Springer and IntechOpen.
