At Little Peaks Learning, we know choosing childcare is an important decision. Below are answers to common questions families ask. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we’re always happy to connect and help.
What ages do you accept?
Little Peaks Learning welcomes children from 6 weeks through preschool age. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support each stage of development, helping children grow with confidence as they reach new “little peaks” in their learning journey.
How do I enroll my child?
We begin with a conversation and a tour so you can experience our environment firsthand. Once you decide we’re the right fit, we will guide you through the enrollment process step-by-step to make it simple and stress-free.
Is there a waitlist?
Yes, due to our small group sizes and focus on individualized care, spaces may fill quickly. Families are welcome to join our waitlist, and we will keep you updated as openings become available.
Can I tour Little Peaks Learning before enrolling?
Absolutely! We encourage families to visit, meet our educators, and see our classrooms in action. Tours help you feel confident and connected before your child starts.
What are your hours of operation?
Little Peaks Learning is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Please contact us directly for our current hours and scheduling options. We have before-care from 6:30 am- 8:00 am.

We understand that life happens! Please contact us if you anticipate being late. Late pick-up fees may apply according to our policies.
Who cares for the children at Little Peaks Learning?
Our educators are passionate early childhood professionals who believe in nurturing the whole child. Staff maintain required training, including CPR and First Aid, and participate in ongoing professional development.
What are your child-to-teacher ratios?
We follow all state licensing guidelines and maintain small group sizes so each child receives individualized attention and support. Infant rooms are a 1:4 ratio, Toddler rooms are a 5:1, and Preschool is 10:1.
How do you keep children safe?
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Our center uses secure entry procedures, supervision protocols, and emergency preparedness plans to ensure a safe and protected environment.
What makes Little Peaks Learning unique?
We believe children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. Our program blends hands-on learning, creativity, nature-inspired exploration, and social-emotional development to help children build confidence and curiosity.
What does a typical day look like?
Each day includes a balance of structured learning experiences and child-led play, outdoor time, meals and snacks, rest periods, and opportunities for creativity and connection.
Do children go outside daily?
Yes! Outdoor play and exploration are an important part of our philosophy whenever the weather permits.
How do you prepare children for kindergarten?
We focus on building foundational skills such as independence, communication, early literacy, problem-solving, and emotional confidence, helping children feel ready for their next big step.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
No. We ask parents to send in three options for morning snack, a lunch and two snack options for lunch time, and three options for afternoon snack.
Can you support food allergies or dietary needs?
Yes. We work closely with families to safely accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions. We are a peanut and tree-nut-free school.
What is your illness policy?
To keep our community healthy, children showing signs of illness should stay home until they meet our return guidelines. Full policies are shared during enrollment in our parent handbook.
What happens if my child becomes sick during the day?
We will contact you promptly and ensure your child is comfortable and cared for until pick-up. Children should be picked up within an hour of receiving notification that your child is sick.

Are parents welcome to be involved?

What should my child bring each day?
