Principal's Message

I am delighted that we are able to continue with our partnership with St Gabriel's School in PNG. The desire of all educators is not simply to convey and impart knowledge, but to empower better human beings for the future. It is to create great character, as Martin Luther King Jr said "We must remember that intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character - that is the true goal of education".

In partnering with St Gabriel's we are not only embarking on a journey of intelligence building, but rather, and more importantly, a sharing of wisdom and understanding across borders that builds empathy and character for all parties involved. By working to empower young women in STEM and improve literacy for all young people we are co-creating a better world for everyone. The idiom that 'knowledge is power' has never been so evident than in today's society where many of those in power publicly and privately try to subdue and subvert knowledge to hold onto power. By empowering our young people in Australia and PNG through projects such as this, it is our great hope that our young people can build their knowledge and share their power for the good of all.

I thank all staff and students involved in this ongoing project and look forward with enthusiasm to enjoying the fruits of its endeavours in the months and years to come.
