"Student centred teaching and learning in our schools."

The first step is to research and find out the effectiveness of present teaching strategies and to formulate ways and means to make class room teaching more student centred and effective alone with STEM.

Project Plan – St Gabriel’s Technical Secondary School and St Paul’s College

Our Challenge!

Building Teacher Capacity

  • How might we create increase teacher capacity through student centred unit of work in order to improve teaching and learning outcomes?

We as a community St Gabriel’s and St Paul’s will look at ideas such as:

  • Recognising the need for change

  • Passive teaching and learning to active teaching and learning

  • Theory based teaching and learning to student-based teaching and learning

  • Monotonous teaching to stimulating teaching

  • Sharing online resources with partnership schools

  • Get STEM experts to organise workshops in school

  • Video of STEM teaching and Learning

  • Reflective review

Our aim is to build teacher capacity to develop and implement a unit of work which is student centred.
