THE MURAL

The mural was inspired by the story "How the birds got their colours". 

Oral Laurie painted the background and tree directly onto the wall. The birds were created by Oral Laurie Senior. These were painted onto marine ply board and cut out to be attached to the mural. This gives the mural a three dimensional aspect. The hand prints are of our school jarjums, painted using ancient techniques.
