THE ARTISTS

Hi my name is Oral Laurie I'm a local aboriginal artist from the Widjabul wia-bal Lismore area. I'm also a Yaegl man from over the Clarence River as well. I grew up in Lismore,Yamba and Evans Head.

I've been painting for over 20 years. It's a cultural passion that has been passed down to me through my Grandfather and father. I love to paint with a lot of colours in my paintings these days, which you'll see in a lot my pieces. I usually paint a lot of old tribal men but I have been doing a lot more animal totems in the last few years.
