• The Day:  A daily news service written and edited specifically for students aged 11-19. There are also some resources and articles available in different languages; such as Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian and Polish. These can be found in the MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) tab.  Click here to start! 

• Britannica School: Explore the updated online encyclopedia from Encyclopaedia Britannica with hundreds of thousands of articles, biographies, videos, images, and websites. Student/staff login ID: lislibrary  

• TOK Theoryofknowledge.net: Helping students around the world to think for themselves. Includes information on TOK themes, Areas of knowledge, TOK essay, and more. Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage to login. Username: TOK@LIS Password: LISToK2023

• JSTOR: With our JSTOR subscription, we have access to the following archival collections & primary resources:

To access these resources, login through google using your @lisluanda.com email address. Instructions on how to set this up the first time are here. • Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) – Free. You do not need a username or password to access journals here. Look for the ticks. Green ticks mean that the journals have met the best practices and publishing standards set DOAJ.

• Project Muse - Free. You do not need a username or password to access books and journals here. Click on 'Only content I have access to' in the filters to see only the results with open access.

• ActiveHistory - From the site "ActiveHistory provides educational, award-winning interactive simulations, decision-making games, self-marking quizzes, high-quality worksheets and detailed lesson plans for the history classroom.
