Go to Library Catalog – Destiny. Login to be able to see websites, as well as books. Type in your search terms or topics. Try the different kinds of searches to see if you find different results (i.e. basic, power, visual, etc). Spend some time looking at the resources available. There are both titles and web sites listed here – tabs are on the top right hand corner. Record any titles & call numbers of titles we have in the library. Look through the websites. Copy the URLs.
Go to LIS Online Resources to access subscription databases. Handy tip: Make sure you keep a record of articles or other information that you find. This will save you time when you need to create your references page.
For more scholarly results, use Google Scholar instead. To access the advanced search function, click on the drop down arrow in the search box. **A useful extension! Unpaywall has created a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. This extension gives access to some science journal articles that are behind paywalls. This extension was created as some researchers are expected to make their results available in open access venues. Unpaywall will search for open access copies.
