This hybrid course focuses on the interpersonal skills, personal values, attitudes and knowledge necessary to become an effective human services worker. The course includes in-person and online content with one in-person class session per week. Also covers the history of human service work in the US, and the current status of social service provision. Required for Human Services Generalist degree.
Included in this course is an instructor guide, course map, syllabus, written assignments, and weekly quizzes. The course readings include an open textbook for each topic.
