As a LBCC employee, you may be responsible for creating course content, handouts, campus-wide materials such as flyers and posters, and so much more.
Below you will find links to information on how to create accessible documents in multiple different formats, as well as some other helpful tips for increasing the accessibility of your courses and other materials.
It is important to note that because LBCC is primarily a Windows campus, the following directions are for use with the Windows operating system. Mac operating systems will vary from these instructions.
It is also recognized that for beginners, creating materials accessibly can be a daunting task. Just take it one step at a time - chunk things up and create termly goals for making your course materials accessible. Remediating a course doesn't happen overnight; give yourself grace and remember that any forward progress towards a more accessible course is a win!
