Tithable income= Gross Income less Income Tax, SSS/GIS, Pag-ibig, and Philhealth Contributions. This was defined by the National and Regional Directors of Lingkod. It is recommended that 10% of this be given to Lingkod and other “works of the Lord” like the parish.
The member should talk to his/her Action Group Leader (AGL) for inputs. We, in Lingkod, do not force the members to give, but we encourage everyone to practice this act of giving and stewardship to develop faithfulness, trust and gratitude for all the Lord that has given to each and everyone of us, and to recognize that nothing in this world belongs to us, everything is from God.
No. Alms giving is different from Tithing. Alms are given over and above tithes.
If the branch, through the Branch Council, after a thorough assessment, see the need to decrease their monthly pledge to the National Office, they shall communicate / align such to the Regional Director. Once aligned with the RD, they need to inform the National Office through the National Comptroller of such change.
The Board of Trustees has the ultimate responsibility to manage Lingkod Funds. Practical day-to-day responsibility is vested on the National Finance Comptroller.
