Literacy
Term two is off to an enjoyable and productive start!
Literacy lessons have been all-encompassing as we have consistently tackled creative writing, practiced various forms of poetry, enjoyed reading, learnt new grammar and practiced our debating skills.
The children have worked hard and I am looking forward to their continued progress as we forge ahead.
Numeracy
This term numeracy has been both challenging and enjoyable as we explored several key concepts. The students delved into the world of numbers, learning to identify and name prime numbers, composite numbers, factors, and multiples, as well as finding common multiples. Our skills in multiplying and dividing numbers by 10, 100, and 1000 have also improved significantly, enabling us to handle numerical operations with greater confidence and accuracy.
Finding factors and factor pairs
Practicing timetables and balance.
IPC
IPC has encouraged our students to expand their minds and apply their skills of critical thinking. We have been learning about the incredible world of food chains; branching out into producers, consumers and decomposers. This fascinating topic took us into the forest that borders our school, where we were able to observe our classroom studies in real life!
