Daily Journal
On the first day, teachers explained us the purpose of this Action Learning Lab, which is:
"to program a humanoid artificial intelligence to support both frontal teaching and laboratory activities"
Immediately after, we left the guys of the third class to work on their own. Together with the physics teacher, Ms Polesello, we collected and analyzed all information collected from the third-grade students, to then jot down some ideas with the help of brainstorming techniques.
In the afternoon, in a call with the students of the third class, we began to think about how to develop our chapter based on the two modules assigned to us:
Bio 7 Transport in mammals
Bio 8 Respiration & gas exchange
On the second day, when we were in presence at school, we took the opportunity to go straight to the laboratory and start working on the experiment we chose.
"investigating the production of carbon dioxide by anaerobic respiration in yeast"
later we connected via meet with David Martindil, the Cambridge IGCSE Science Combined expert, from Singapore,
he explained to us more precisely all the ins and outs of the exam and later, through six different slides, he explained how to face the exam without fear!
On the third day, two of us were at school, while the others met on Meet.
All together, we have revised the program for the week, because we were well advanced with our work.
We tried to finish all the works started previously and started to understand how to edit the video once the shooting was over
We designed the storyboard regarding the video we are going to make
All together we covered the script, eliminating errors and replacing the useless parts
Afterwards, we started designing the questions for the quiz that we would then put at the end of our video
And we continued with the conclusion of the summaries of the module assigned to us
Like every day, the presentation technician continued with his work
In the meantime, Pietro and Renzo, who were at school, tried the experiment again, and this time we had good results
On the fourth day, we were
"investigating the production of carbon dioxide by anaerobic respiration in yeast"
on the fourth day, always in DAD we have finally finished everything, storyboard, script, summary and all the things necessary for the next days at school, we started to do more in-depth research on Pepper, its functionalities and how to design through Choreographe
We have revised the script of what we should say during the experiment we were going to do on the next day
We have concluded the script for the explanation of the module that will have to say pepper
As every day, we have updated the site and presentation.
Instead on Friday, the fifth day, we were at school, we took the opportunity to start shooting the experiment and refine the last things on Choreographe.
The first four hours, we had Pepper, but due to a technical problem we were unable to finish the goal we had set for this day.
we managed to shoot the experiment in the laboratory,
both for the practical part,
both for the explanation between Pepper and Lucia,
and finally we recorded the introduction of our video
then we started cutting the scenes which we will then put in the final video.
we kept updating our site and finished most of the presentation
on the sixth day, having Pepper's booking for the last three hours of the morning, we guys took advantage of it to finish all the shots in which Pepper is present:
explanation of the module
questions for the final quiz
previously we fixed the text of the module that Pepper will have to expose, adding the purpose of the experiment, grammatical errors and adding important parts
we have finished the graphics and layout of our site, updating the progress and fixing the last things
Day 7
the seventh day, being the last, we updated and concluded the presentation, the site, the documentation, the shooting and the editing of the video.
we made a recap to see if it was all settled, concluded and ready to be exhibited.
As always we have updated the site, concluding it as a final product;
We started thinking about what to say during the exhibition that we should exhibit on Wednesday.
Interview
We interviewed the third class to know how to use Pepper to help them in the studying for the IGCSE of Science. They gave us some ideas and explained how to actually put them in practice them. This are some notes that we took while they were talking.

This is the storyboard that we did in the day 3
