Humanities/Human Sciences Course

During this course you will study the phenomena related to the construction of personal identity and human and social relations. This course guides students to deepen and develop their knowledge, and equips you with the skills necessary for the training of the individual. By the end of this course the students will have:

acquired knowledge of the main fields of investigation of human sciences through knowledge of disciplines such as pedagogy, psychology and socio-anthropology;

acquired knowledge of the Western and European culture;

developed their understanding on how to compare theories and use the necessary tools to understand the variety of social reality, with particular attention to educational phenomena, educational processes and intercultural phenomena;

obtained the necessary tools to use in a conscious and critical manner, the main relational and communicative methodologies, including those related to media education.

Linguistic Course

The linguistic high school integrates the cultural formation of the high schools with the main aim to deepen the knowledge of foreign languages, literature and civilizations (English, French, Spanish and German).

During the first two years you study English for four hours per week, while French, Spanish or German (depending on the option you choose), is for three hours per week. After the two years, English lessons are reduced to three hours and the other two foreign languages are increased to four hours per week.

After the two-year period the study of Latin and Geography is suspended and the three-year period is added to art history, physics, philosophy and the four literature.

Towards the end of the course, the students are able to communicate in different contexts and are able to see the differences in relation to other cultures.

Having completed the course, the student will have developed their language knowledge(CLIL).

Social Economic Course

The Social Economic High School allows to acquire cultural tools to deal with current issues, from the available resources to the legal rules of social coexistence, from individual and collective well-being to the responsibility of the choices to be made, through the participation of several subjects.

In order to understand the complexity of the present, the contents, tools and methods of different disciplines are needed. In the case of the Social Economic High School , it includes the economic, legal, linguistic, social, scientific and humanistic disciplines which are all equally important to provide an updated and thorough high school preparation in multiple directions.

Having completed the course, the students will have many work and university opportunities.
