Laboratories

Physics Laboratory

In our school there is a physics laboratory whose manager is teacher Giuseppe Vicari and the technical assistant is Giancarlo Caruso. In this laboratory various experiments are carried out, such as: Archimedes' thrust, experience with the vacuum pump, the tuning fork, the frequencies of musical notes and a bell in the absence of air.

Sciences Laboratory
It is a multidisciplinary laboratory (Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences) where you can observe
natural objects and perform experiments that allow the verification of some natural chemical or biological phenomena. The classroom is equipped with some basic tools (scales, microscopes, reagents, glassware), models which are useful for the study of the human body, plant and animal world, astronomy and geology. It is also enriched by collections that allow you to deepen your knowledge in specific thematic areas and in some cases are also of historical interest. The use of the laboratory serves to approach the experimental method, teaches us to work with one scientific method, to collect data and then to elaborate hypotheses, helps to acquire a practical sense and manual skills and to interpret the reality that surrounds us.

Multimedia Laboratory

A multimedia lab is an opportunity for pupils to learn using the PC and its basic functions. It is a teaching path that involves all three orders of the school (from kindergarten to secondary school). In our school we have at our disposal a series of multimedia laboratories, including the language laboratory where we have a set of computers that allow us to do foreign language listening exercises; a laboratory that is located on the ground floor where we can carry out school research, school competitions and school projects.

Planetarium

The planetarium has been in our school since 2010. The responsible of the planetarium is teacher Giovanni Russo, who has been teaching Mathematics and Physics at our school for over 20 years.

The instruments in the planetarium are diverse and include: two telescopes, a model of the solar system and a historical model involving the Sun, the Earth and the Moon.
