Frequentare le lezioni d'inglese, francese, spagnolo,matematica, fisica, coding, scienze politiche, in francese, ha rappresentato un'esperienza importante che ha pemesso di conoscere metodologie d'insegnamento e approcci anche diversi da quelli italiani. La cosa che colpisce di più è stata il rispetto delle regole riferite all'uso dei cellulari, utilizzati solo per scopi strettamente didattici e definiti dai docenti.
Attending English, French, Spanish, Maths, Coding, and Political Science classes in French, was an important experience that allowed us to get to know teaching methods and approaches that were also different from the Italian ones. The most striking thing was the respect for the rules on the use of mobile phones, which were used only for strictly didactic purposes and defined by the teachers.

Il mio secondo giorno di Erasmus è iniziato molto presto a causa della notevole distanza tra la casa della famiglia ospitante e la scuola Iris.
Per la prima volta in una scuola di un altro paese europeo abbiamo partecipato attivamente alle lezioni di inglese e fisica. Anche se capire le materie in francese è stato piuttosto impegnativo, l’ho trovato utile per migliorare la mia padronanza della lingua. È stato molto interessante osservare da vicino il loro sistema scolastico, caratterizzato da lezioni interattive spesso intervallate da brevi pause o momenti liberi.
I docenti si sono dimostrati sempre disponibili ad aiutare gli studenti e a fornire esempi pratici per facilitare la comprensione delle lezioni.
Dopo pranzo nella mensa scolastica, abbiamo partecipato a una visita guidata al Castello di Roquetaillade, una fortezza medievale costruita originariamente da Carlo Magno alla fine dell’VIII secolo.
La guida, proprietario del castello, ha offerto una spiegazione dettagliata della storia e del significato dei dipinti presenti nel castello.
La giornata di oggi è stata molto interessante e sono sicuro che quella di domani sarà altrettanto piacevole.
REPORT OF THE SECOND DAY
My second day in Erasmus began very early in the morning due to the long distance between my host family's house and the Iris school. For the first time, we actively participated in lessons, attending English and physics classes. Although it was very challenging to understand the subjects in French, I found it incredibly useful for improving my language skills. It was also fascinating to get a glimpse of their educational system, which is characterized by interactive lessons often followed by short breaks or free periods. The teachers were always ready to help students and provided practical examples to better understand the lesson.
After lunch at the school canteen, we had a guided visit to Roquetaillade Castle, a medieval fortress originally built by Charlemagne at the end of the 8th century. The castle has been inhabited by the same family since 1306 and is one of France's 10 most beautiful fortified castles. In 1865, the renowned architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc was commissioned to restore and transform the castle. His work included vibrant interior decorations and furnishings that are considered a prelude to the Art Nouveau movement. Viollet-le-Duc's designs, full of bright colours and patterns inspired by nature, are a significant castle feature. The castle’s owner guided us and provided a thorough explanation of the history and significance of the castle, including detailed insights into the various paintings and their meanings.
Today was exciting, and I'm sure tomorrow will be just as enjoyable.
