Student Organizations

Liberty Hill ISD encourages student and teacher participation in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). Our programs are enhanced when students have opportunities beyond the classroom learning environment. For this reason, CTSOs are available for students who are involved in CTE programs.

The United States Department of Education (USDE) recognizes the value of Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and their place as an integral part of career and technical education (CTE). The State of Texas and the Texas Education Code also recognizes the value of career and technical student organizations by emphasizing the importance of “participation by students and teachers in activities of career and technical student organizations supported by the agency and the State Board of Education (Sec. 29.182).”

Students enrolled in certain CTE courses have the opportunity to participate in a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) appropriate to the course in which they are enrolled. CTSOs promote leadership development, job skill training, and can provide scholarship opportunities.
