The Education and Training Career Cluster focuses on planning, managing, and providing education and training services and related learning support services. All parts of courses are designed to introduce learners to the various careers available within the Education and Training career cluster.
The Teaching and Training program of study focuses on occupational and educational opportunities associated with careers related to teaching, instructing, and creating instructional and enrichment materials. The program of study includes recognizing a variety of student groups and their corresponding needs, identifying processes for developing curriculum and coordinating educational content, and coaching groups and individuals.
1st course: Principles of Education and Training (1 credit)
2nd course: Human Growth and Development (1 credit)
3rd course: Instructional Practices (Dual Credit offered through Tarleton) (2Credit)
4th course: Practicum in Education and Training (2 Credit)

Texas Association of Future Educators is a statewide organization that offers students the opportunity to explore the teaching profession. This is accomplished by creating and supporting various activities, workshops, contests, scholarships, and summer workshops.
