Sojourner Truth saw how people were treating slaves, she saw how they would get beaten and mistreated. This made Sojourner Truth mad so she wanted to end slavery. During the war she helped injured people at a hospital. The war was very important to her because she wanted the slaves to be freed and with their families having a good time. She got along with Abraham Lincoln. She met Abraham Lincoln once. He invited Sojourner Truth to meet him. He helped Sojourner Truth to end slavery.
