One of the challenges Clara faced was depression what caused her depression was how soldiers were seeing many things and had led to nightmares and flashbacks of terrible things she saw in the war. I feel that since she saw so many dead bodies and many people injured that caused her depression. Whenever she was alone she got sad because she wasn’t helping people, this influenced her to help more people since she knew how many people needed her help and how many lives she could save.
